Ferrari Super America 45

[/caption] Oh, what it’s like to have [not too much] money. This is the one-off Ferrari Super America 45 commissioned by New York collector Peter Kalikow unveiled at this year’s Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza. The 599-adaptation features a bespoke carbon fiber rotating hard-top that flips into the boot (molded, of course, after the 575 Super America from nearly a decade ago). Custom tidbits include a new boot design (also carbon fiber) to accommodate the flip-top, unique venting, and rear buttresses integrated into the wheel arches. Shiny bits include a chromed grill while the a-pillars, wing-mirrors…

Aston Martin Zagato V12

[/caption] Behold Zagato and Aston Martin’s latest collaboration. The Zagato V12 looks dead sexy, aggressively evil,  and sounds brutally awesome! Also, it’s just taken the Concorso d’Eleganza Design Award at Villa d’Este. Though some may complain the roof line is a bit too GT-R and the back resembles that of a Ferrari more than a cherished Aston Martin… We love it! An endurance racing version will compete in next month’s Nürburgring 24 hour event. Which is more compeling – the V12 or James Glickenhaus’ P4/5 Competizione? Six of these ‘rolling works of art’ will be offered up for public sale for the first time ever at this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Cernobbio, Italy on May 21, 2011. Excerpt: Each year the Concourso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este brings out 50 of the world’s best concours contenders. This year was of course no different. Sponsored by the BMW Group and also celebrating Alfa Romeo’s 100 anniversary, the TZ3 Corsa and 328 Kamm were two of this year’s most profiled entrants. Though we’ve seen many of the manufacturer photos released during the event, Carscoop was there in person and caught a bit on video. Be sure to take a look and see why the Concourso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is not only cherished for the automobiles present but for its beautiful setting as well….

Miura110 Villa dEste: One off 68 Lamborghini Miura Bertone Roadster Takes Mention Of HonorBertone’s one-off ’68 Miura Roadster took ‘Mention of Honor’ at this weekend’s Concourso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. After being lost behind the scenes to private collectors in the 1990s, the roadster began a complete restoration to ‘original condition’ in 2006 for its 2008 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance appearance. We’re thrilled to see this car still out in front of everyone instead of locked back behind closed doors.

Best in show was taken by a 1938 Talbot-Lago T150 C SS Teardrop Coupé.

BMW 328 Kamm Coupé

[/caption] Continuing their annual tradition to debut a new concept each year at the Concourso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, BMW showed off their ‘new’ 328 Kamm Coupé. Lost in the 1950s, the original has been long gone for the better part of 60 years, but using historical references BMW Classic has been hard at work since the mid 1990s to bring this car back to life. The Kamm Coupé celebrates BMW’s win at the Mille Miglia 70 years ago. Autoblog.nl was lucky enough to be at the event and snapped the images below. Press release after…

Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa

[/caption] Alfa Romeo is in the midst of celebrating their 100 year anniversary and will debut the one-off Zagato designed TZ3 Corsa at this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Unlike the ‘design exercise’ showpieces displayed in Geneva, Zagato and Alfa Romeo have pulled from their 90 years of collaboration to create this fully functioning racer. Commissioned by an unidentified German individual, the TZ3 is based on the 8C Competizione’s platform, has an undisclosed powertrain and is ready to hit the track … (or humidity controlled garage and future reserved concours spaces).
