Audi will only produce 333 examples of the R8 GT at $198,000 each, including the $1,200 destination charge. To recap – the top rung of the R8 ladder drops 220 pounds while gaining 35 horsepower to put the 5.2 liter V10 at 560 horsepower at 8,000 rpm. No manual transmission will be offered and instead all will be fitted with the company’s single-clutch R-Tronic semi-automatic gearbox. Nearly 111 examples will reach US dealers when the R8 GT hits showrooms next summer.
