[/caption] According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, General Motors is recalling specific model year 2005 and 2006 Corvettes equipped with a tilt and telescoping steering column. The recall pertains to those manufactured between March of 2004 and January of 2006. Repeated movement of the steering column could interrupt signals sent through the column itself resulting in the “SERVICE ACTIVE HANDLING SYSTEM” error appearing on the dash and the possibility of  one or more brakes being applied. [/caption] After starting on Thursday, the National Corvette Museum (NCM) is wrapping up their C5/C6 Bash today. This morning they debuted the first 2011 Corvette, VIN#001, what looks much like a white version of the 2011 Z06 Carbon Edition. With two blue stripes, special decals and gray competition wheels, the first of the 2011 models is a tribute to 50 years since Corvette’s first LeMans class win in 1960.
