[/caption] Around Town – Snapshots of collector cars spotted in and around Los Angeles. Spotted this ’69 Camaro SS in Sherman Oaks, CA. It appears to be a daily driver for this owner and is certainly not a concours contender. It’s even fitted with a newly trimmed center console that includes cupholders. Not exactly stock for a ’69 if a restoration is the goal. Assuming the badges don’t lie, it’s also equipped with GM’s tried and true 5.7 liter big block. What do you say Camaro experts? How’s it look? Leave…

2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition

Corvetteblogger kept themselves quite busy during the National Corvette Museum’s C5/C6 Bash. After debuting the Le Mans tribute #001 2011 Corvette, General Motors also gave up the skinny on this coming year’s upgrades to the Z06 model.

New equipment include supremely better tires, an aggressive new exhaust note and the Z07 performance package (includes Brembo carbon ceramic brakes and CFZ Carbon Fiber appearance package).

2010 Chevrolet Camaro RS Interior

[/caption] Though the accolades have been spilling in regarding the design of the new Camaro, what’s being said about the interior is less flattering. The Chevy’s interior is certainly not horrible, and a vast improvement over the past, but Ford also put significant upgrades toward design and quality into the new Mustang’s interior just as the Camaro was released leaving the me-too pony car once again to play second fiddle. The majority of ire appears to be centered around the retro look and feel taking priority over usability what with an awkward steering wheel…

2006 Chevrolet Corvette

[/caption] According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, General Motors is recalling specific model year 2005 and 2006 Corvettes equipped with a tilt and telescoping steering column. The recall pertains to those manufactured between March of 2004 and January of 2006. Repeated movement of the steering column could interrupt signals sent through the column itself resulting in the “SERVICE ACTIVE HANDLING SYSTEM” error appearing on the dash and the possibility of  one or more brakes being applied. GM is contacting owner and dealers. Owners can contact Chevrolet at 1.800.630.2438 for free repairs. Follow the jump for NHTSA’s…
