The field is small (only a dozen or so vehicles), but each model represents its make and rightful place in automotive history quite well. This past Sunday, Trump National Golf Club hosted the 18th Annual Palos Verdes Concours d’Elegance. While last year’s show was all about the Italians, this year focused on the Germans with Mercedes-Benz as the featured marque. [/caption] This past weekend saw the 7th anniual Fairfield County Concours d’Elegance. Two top prizes are given out for the Grand Prix d’Honneur (Best in Show), one for top domestic vehicle and one for foreign. Taking the honor for domestic was the final Duesenberg ever built, the 1940 SJ. It is also one of only 36 cars ever originally supercharged from the factory.
